Plain English note: These terms govern your use of the Jobago platform. We have written them to be readable. If you have questions, email us at info@jobago.ai before you agree.
1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover Jobago Ltd ("Jobago", "we", "us") operates an AI-powered career support platform at jobago.ai ("Platform"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Jobago covering your use of the Platform. These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, regardless of how you access it. There are four types of users: (1) Freemium Users, who access a free tier of the Platform directly; (2) Paid Users, who purchase a subscription directly from Jobago; (3) Employer-Sponsored Users, whose access is arranged by their former employer or an authorized reseller; and (4) Beta Users, who are granted free access for testing and feedback purposes. Different terms apply to each type of user where indicated. Our Privacy Policy (available at jobago.ai/privacy) forms part of these Terms. By using the Platform you agree to both documents.
2. Who Can Use the Platform You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or over. We do not knowingly allow individuals under 18 to use our services. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, please contact us at privacy@jobago.ai. You may only use the Platform for your own personal career development. You may not use it on behalf of another person or share your account credentials.
3. Your Account To use the Platform you must register for an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at info@jobago.ai. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
4. What the Platform Does The Platform provides: • An AI career coach for interview preparation and career guidance; • Automated CV / resume editing and optimization; • Personalized job search and application tools; • Career development webinars and courses; • Other features added or updated from time to time.
The Platform is powered in part by third-party AI technology (including OpenAI). AI-generated content is intended to assist you and should not be relied upon as professional legal, financial or career advice.
5. Your Content 5.1 What you upload You may upload content to the Platform including CV / Resume, cover letters, and other career materials ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload it and that it does not infringe third-party rights. 5.2 License you grant us By uploading Your Content, you grant Jobago a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform's services to you. This license lasts for as long as your account is active. When you close your account or submit a valid erasure request, this license ends. We will delete Your Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may retain anonymized or aggregated data derived from Your Content for platform improvement purposes. 5.3 What you must not upload You must not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights or data protection rights. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
6. Acceptable Use You must not: • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure; • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the Platform; • Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the Platform; • Use the Platform to develop a competing product or service; • Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code; • Use the Platform in a way that violates OpenAI's usage policies (as updated from time to time at openai.com/policies); • Remove or alter any proprietary notices on the Platform.
7. AI-Powered Features Parts of the Platform use artificial intelligence, including models provided by OpenAI. You should be aware that: • AI-generated outputs may not be unique — other users may receive similar suggestions; • AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific circumstances; • You are solely responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to act on any AI-generated content; • You must not submit sensitive regulated information (such as government ID numbers, protected health information, or third-party confidential data) through the AI features.
8. Freemium and Paid Access 8.1 Freemium tier Jobago offers a free tier of the Platform ("Freemium") giving access to a limited set of features at no charge. Freemium access is provided on an ongoing basis and is not time-limited. You do not need to provide payment details to register for Freemium access. Jobago reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the features available on the Freemium tier at any time. Notice will be given in accordance with section 12.2 if any such change constitutes a material change to these Terms. 8.2 Upgrading to a paid subscription You may upgrade from Freemium to a paid subscription at any time through the Platform. Pricing is displayed either in the platform or otherwise communicated to users via email or other communication means. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The Paid User terms in sections 8.3, 8.4, and 11.3 apply from the moment of your first payment. 8.3 Your right to cancel (Paid Users only) If you purchase access to the Platform online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase (the "Cooling-Off Period") under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to begin providing the service before the Cooling-Off Period ends, you acknowledge that your right to a full refund will be reduced proportionally to the service already provided. To cancel, email us at info@jobago.ai with your account details and the word "Cancel." 8.4 Refunds (Paid Users only) We will process any refund you are entitled to within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request, using the same payment method you used to purchase.
9. Intellectual Property All intellectual property in the Platform — including the software, design, AI models, documentation, and branding — belongs to Jobago or its licensors. You receive no rights in the Platform beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms. If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Platform, we may use that feedback to improve our services without any obligation to you.
10. Confidentiality You may encounter confidential information about Jobago or other users in the course of using the Platform. You must keep such information confidential and not disclose it to third parties.
11. Our Liability to You 11.1 What we are responsible for We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. 11.2 If you are a Freemium User Freemium access is provided free of charge. You are a consumer and your statutory rights under applicable law are not affected by these Terms. Subject to section 11.1, our total aggregate liability to you as a Freemium User shall not exceed the fees you paid to Jobago in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. As a Freemium User has paid nothing, this cap resolves to zero. This reflects the nature of the free service and is consistent with the approach taken by other major freemium platforms. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable or that was caused by your breach of these Terms. 11.3 If you are a Paid User If you are a Paid User (an individual who has purchased a subscription directly from Jobago), your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms. We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Subject to section 11.1, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the fees you paid to Jobago in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or that was caused by your breach of these Terms. 11.4 If you are using the Platform through your employer or a reseller Where access is arranged by your former employer or an authorized reseller, that employer or reseller has entered into a separate agreement with Jobago which governs liability for the provision of the Platform to you. Jobago's contractual liability runs to that employer or reseller, not to you directly. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jobago excludes all contractual liability to you in this context. Nothing in this section excludes Jobago's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, which cannot be excluded under English law. 11.5 Nature of the service The Platform is a career support tool. We cannot guarantee any particular employment outcome. We are not liable for the decisions of employers, recruiters, or other third parties based on materials you create using the Platform.
12. Changes to the Platform and These Terms 12.1 Changes to the Platform We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Platform from time to time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes. 12.2 Changes to these Terms We update these Terms from time to time. Changes fall into two categories: • Non-material changes (no notice required): clarifications that do not change your rights or obligations; adding or removing Platform features; updates to reflect changes in law that do not expand Jobago's rights or restrict yours; corrections of typographical errors. • Material changes (30 days' email notice required): changes to our liability cap or exclusions; changes to fees or payment terms; new restrictions on how you may use the Platform; changes to data sharing or sub-processors that affect your privacy rights; changes to your cancellation or refund rights. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The updated Terms will also be posted at jobago.ai/terms with the effective date. If you do not agree with the changes, you may close your account and, if you are a paying consumer, receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid fees covering the period after the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Beta Users 13.1 Who is a Beta User A "Beta User" is an individual granted free access to the Platform by Jobago for the purposes of testing platform stability and providing feedback. Beta access is granted at Jobago's sole discretion and is not a commercial arrangement. If you are not sure whether you are a Beta User, contact us at info@jobago.ai. 13.2 Platform provided as-is Beta access is provided free of charge strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis for testing and feedback purposes only. The Platform may be incomplete, unstable, or contain errors. Jobago makes no warranties, representations, or guarantees of any kind in relation to Beta access — express, implied, or statutory — including as to fitness for purpose, accuracy, availability, or reliability. 13.3 Liability exclusion for Beta Users To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jobago excludes all liability to Beta Users arising out of or in connection with the Platform or these Terms, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of career opportunity, loss of income, service interruptions, errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content, or any other direct, indirect, special, or consequential loss. Beta Users use the Platform entirely at their own risk. Nothing in this section excludes Jobago's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, which cannot be excluded under English law. 13.4 No data continuity guarantee Beta Users acknowledge that their data (including uploaded CV / Resume and AI conversation history) may be deleted, reset, or otherwise lost at any time in connection with testing activities. Jobago is not liable for any such loss of data. Beta Users should not rely on the Platform to store important documents or information. 13.5 Termination of Beta access Jobago may suspend or terminate Beta access at any time, without notice, and without any liability to the Beta User. There is no right to continued access. Beta Users may also close their account at any time by emailing info@jobago.ai. 13.6 Feedback By participating in Beta access, you agree to provide honest feedback about your experience when requested. Any feedback, suggestions, or bug reports you provide may be used by Jobago to improve the Platform without any obligation or compensation to you.
14. Suspension and Termination Either party may close an account at any time. You may close your account by emailing info@jobago.ai. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms. We will give you notice unless we reasonably believe immediate action is necessary to protect the Platform or other users. On termination, your license to use the Platform ends. Sections 5.2 (anonymized data), 9 (IP), 11 (liability), 13.3 (Beta User liability exclusion), 15 (governing law), and 16 (disputes) survive termination.
15. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
16. Disputes If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@jobago.ai. We will try to resolve it within 14 days. If we cannot resolve the complaint informally, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
17. General If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Jobago regarding use of the Platform.
